Not opposed to putting the best I can on the bike. If I were to change out the rear shocks which brand/model for this bike would you suggest. Occasionally the "boss" rides with me, but rarely and when taking overnight trips carry HD's luggage bags with probably some max weight of 50lbs. Ride/comfort level of the bike seems OK to me, but not experiencing anything else, question is would I notice a significant ride/handling difference with some of the shocks being discussed. Just keep the weight of the fender up by putting somthing in between the tire and fender to support it enough, doesn't have to be perfect just enough to hold some or most of the weight, and put blue loctite on the bolt when Installing, its really a simple bolt on bolt off deal so should go smooth for ya I didnt have my bike supported enough so when I was about 4 threads away from getting the last bolt off the second shock, the weight of the fender and hardware stripped the threads, I was just lucky I could run a tap threw it by hand to fix the threads because the threads are on a piece that welded to the frame. The great thing about progressives website is they have ur stock length shock and forks highlighted in Yellow as u scroll threw the different models, so u could just look that way if u wanted to double check, just make sure when u go to install the shocks u will more than likely have to take both shocks off at the same time. NOTE: Before purchasing or attempting to install shocks that are different than the OEM length, confirm that your wheel travel can be altered without causing clearance issues, such as swingarm/axle to exhaust contact as well as chain/belt guard or tire contact.Ur shocks are probably 11" stock.
